Fear of Failure
Millions of people would love to start their own business. The question is why don’t they?
When you question people about their desire to start their own business
you will usually see reasons which point to fear of failure. This is understandable, especially if they fear losing money and possibly their home. However perhaps such fear is because they are overthinking their business dream. In their mind it might well be that they start the business, give up their employment and then see some reasons that will cause their business to fail.

It’s probably true that many of the most successful entrepreneurs were already broke, out of work and in a desperate situation. They had to make their business work and to start it with little or no resources. They had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Such entrepreneurs were more scared of staying in their current situation than scared of the business failing.
Should you avoid starting to avoid the fear of failure?
It could be said that if you are financially comfortable and relatively happy in your employment then it might be better to just keep your business ideas as a dream. Without some driving factors and a passion for your business then failure is more likely than success. No matter what business you start you are going to have to work hard to succeed and at times struggle with many issues. Without that passion and desire, it will be a very hard place to be. For many successful people, the fear of failure is also a driving force. They don’t want to fail and so rather than put them off trying things the fear of failing makes them test out new ideas and methods.
Fear of failure – it can drive you to success
However if you have the desire and passion for your business ideas and are prepared to work hard and focus your time and energy in the right way you will succeed. There will no need for you to have a fear of failure.
