“Fire in the belly ice in the head”
I heard this saying recently and thought to myself how well this applies to making good business decisions.
It is often is easy to have ideas to move our business forward and sometimes we can let our hearts rule our heads. It is true that we need to have desire and enthusiasm to succeed but we have to make sure that how we carry that out will work.
A gut feeling is no bad thing and can often be right. The problem might be that we act purely on that feeling without planning a clear route that will help us to succeed. This is where the “ice in the head” is vital so that we can look at the situation without the emotion that could cause us to make mistakes.
Successful people do have “fire in the belly and ice in the head” – do you?
