This week I have been listening to and reading articles from people that say that business networking does not work. I would like to refer them to my article which is linked in the previous sentence.
The success of networking will depend on how we approach it. It is certainly a useful way of getting more business and I know many people that have built a good business with most of their customers coming via networking.
It is true that networking will not work for everyone at the basic networking meeting level but in reality we all need to network for business. That could be by regular contact with existing clients, exhibitions and trade shows, conferences and the like. It is dangerous to say that networking does not work – it does. Networking is not just about breakfast meetings for local businesses!
